LAILA RUBIN LCSW-PMH-C
about
I have practiced as a Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Therapist, Supervisor, Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant and Support Group Facilitator for over 15 years. I have worked with children, parents, mothers, caregivers, immigrants, refugees, system-involved families, foster/adoptive parents, mono-lingual Spanish speaking families, schools, non-profits, hospitals and psychiatry clinics.

Through my years of experience in Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health, I realized that I was mostly working with caregivers and parents, helping them adjust to their role as a caregiver, processing their thoughts and feelings about their children and their own childhood, working together to reduce stress, improve behavior and find grace along the way. I truly value the importance in holding, supporting and nurturing caregivers in order to be more present, patient and grounded in their role.

My approach is holistic, compassionate and trauma informed. My manner is gentle and non-judgmental, being present, open and supportive. I strive to meet you where you are, creating connection and space where you feel heard, seen, and valued. I work to empower individuals, to help them feel more confident, competent and grounded in their experiences and choices through deep listening, reflection, normalization, and highlighting of inherent strengths.
I have a B.A. in Psychology and Visual Art from Emory University, a Master’s in Social Work from Georgia State University, and advanced certificates in Maternal Mental Health, Early Childhood Mental Health, Child Development, and Trauma-Informed care.
